50/1 Bet Builder for Liverpool vs Man City

Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.
Super Sunday’s headline game is a key clash for both Liverpool and Manchester City, as neither can afford to lose ground. We’ve backed Pep Guardiola’s awful record at Anfield to continue, while I’ve picked out a 53/1 bet builder for the game.
This tip has been priced up with Paddy Power, who have this great offer for new customers, which covers two of Sunday’s biggest sporting events.
Liverpool vs Manchester City Ultimate Bet Builder
Hugo Ekitike to score anytime
Ekitike has scored three goals across his last two games for Liverpool, and the forward was particularly impressive against Newcastle last time out.
The Frenchman has scored six times at Anfield in the Premier League this season, while he’s scored in three of his last four home appearances.
City have faced the fourth-most fast breaks in the Premier League this term, so there should be plenty of opportunities for Ekitike to cause problems on the counter-attack.
Gianluigi Donnarumma to make 4+ saves
Defensive injuries have left City looking a little exposed, and this Liverpool side will get forward to try and exploit those. However, Guardiola’s side can call upon arguably the best goalkeeper in the word, who has helped to keep them in games since joining from PSG lin the summer.
The Italian has made four saves in each of his last two games for City, while he had to make five stops in their loss at Manchester United last month. Donnarumma staved off a defeat with four saves at Sunderland on New Year’s Day. In total, Donnarumma has made four or more saves in four of his last six away games, so back him to be busy at Anfield.
Rodri to be carded
Rodri’s form is under the spotlight, and that should continue against a Liverpool side who won’t be afraid to run at the Spanish midfielder.
Rodri was cautioned in a 19-minute cameo against Newcastle in midweek, while he was fortunate to avoid a red in last weekend’s visit to Tottenham. In total, he has four yellow cards and a red across his last five appearances, and his sluggish displays suggest he’ll struggle against Liverpool this weekend.
Cody Gakpo to have 3+ foul involvements
Cody Gakpo has drawn more fouls than any other Liverpool player in the Premier League this season, but the winger has also committed the second-highest number of fouls.
Gakpo looks set for another battle, as he’s set to line up against Matheus Nunes and Antoine Semenyo this weekend.
The Dutchman has both fouled and been fouled in his last two appearances, while he was involved in seven fouls in the Reds’ clash with Arsenal last month.
Erling Haaland to commit 1+ fouls
Haaland doesn’t wind up with a lot of fouls, but he does tend to make them in City’s bigger games. The forward made at least one foul in European clashes with Dortmund and Real Madrid, while he’s made a foul in seven away league appearances, including last weekend’s trip to Tottenham.
Haaland finished with three fouls in City’s trip to Arsenal and their home clash with Liverpool earlier this term. Both of Liverpool’s centre-halves are capable of drawing fouls, so back Haaland to make at least one.
