Mamelodi Sundowns vs Borussia Dortmund – Mamelodi Sundowns win or draw double chance at 2/1 with bet365
It’s only one-game form, but on the evidence of the first round of World Club Cup fixtures Sundowns must have a real chance of avoiding defeat against Borussia Dortmund.
The Germans registered only seven shots, three corners and an expected goals fixture of 0.24 in their opening 0-0 draw with Fluminense and Die Borussen were pretty fortunate to escape with a point.
Sundowns showed enough in a 1-0 victory over Ulsan to suggest they can be competitive against a below-par Dortmund and the Stylish Guys confidence should be peaking after their success in Orlando.

River Plate vs Monterrey – River Plate to win at 11/10 with bet365
River Plate are top of Group E after the opening round of fixtures and they can move onto six points by defeating Monterrey in Pasadena.
The Argentinian side approached the tournament on a 17-match unbeaten run and showed their quality by cruising to a 3-1 victory over Japanese side Urawa Red Diamonds.
River still have work to do to reach the knockout rounds, but they should have the edge over Monterrey, who finished seventh in the 2025 Mexican Clausura.
Monterrey opened with a 1-1 draw against out-of-sorts Inter but may struggle to back the result up against one of the most consistent South American sides.

Spain U21 vs England U21 – Spain to win at 5/4 with bet365
England showed plenty of promise in the opener at the Under-21 Euros, comfortably beating Czech Republic 3-1 thanks to beautiful link-up play between a talented front four, but the wheels have quickly come off.
The Young Lions scraped through their group after disappointingly drawing with Slovenia before a 2-1 loss to Germany. That defeat to the Germans meant England had to settle for second and the consequence is a quarter-final clash with the outright favourites, Spain.
La Rojita are a side with talent all over the pitch and it would be no surprise to see them dump Lee Carsley’s Young Lions out at the quarter-final stage.

Real Oviedo vs Mirandes – Real Oviedo to win at 19/20
Real Oviedo were desperately unlucky to lose the first leg of this Spanish Segunda Division promotion play-off final, but they should be able to make good use of home advantage when Mirandes visit Estadio Nuevo Carlos Tartiere.
Mirandes had just six shots, scoring the only goal of the game from 0.28 expected goals. Oviedo were wasteful as they hit the target just twice from 12 attempts, but they ended the first leg with 1.17 expected goals and can take confidence from their dominance in Mirandes.
Saturday’s favourites have won five and drawn one of their last six at home and beat Mirandes 4-1 here in October, while the visitors have only won three of their 12 away games in 2025, losing six times.

Real Madrid vs Pachuca – Real Madrid to win & both teams to score at 7/4
Real Madrid drew their opening Club World Cup contest against Al Hilal but they should find things easier going against Pachuca.
However, they are still getting to grips with a new formation and a new style of play under boss Xabi Alonso and that could leave them vulnerable against the Mexicans.
Pachuca were beaten 2-1 by Salzburg and that was the fifth time in their last eight outings that both teams have scored and they could get on the scoresheet against Real.
The European champions should secure a comfortable victory, but, having kept a clean sheet in only two of their last seven matches, there is scope to expect a consolation strike for Pachuca.

Portugal U21 vs Netherlands U21 at 13/10 with bet365
The Netherlands came into the Euros as potential contenders after a fine qualifying campaign, but they ended up scrambling for a quarter-final place in their final game. The Dutch drew 2-2 with Finland in their opener, before losing 2-1 to Denmark.
Ukraine tested them despite losing 2-0, edging out the Dutch 5-4 in terms of shots on target. Meanwhile, Portugal were the better side in their 0-0 draw with France, before recording 5-0 and 4-0 wins over Poland and Georgia.
Portugal look impressive going forward, with Geovany Quenda in inspired form. They’re good value at odds-against to see off a Dutch side who can’t be trusted at the back.
