Tyson Fury makes his latest return from retirement on Saturday night with a tough but very winnable match-up against Arslanbek Makhmudov.

Back in January 2025, Fury called time on his career for the fifth time after back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk but he’s since decided to fight on, and a win over Makhmudov would set him up for either a trilogy meeting with Usyk or a long-awaited tussle with British rival Anthony Joshua – or potentially both.

I’ve got the main event covered, a few tips from a stacked undercard including a 10/1 treble, as well as details on how to watch. All prices quoted come from bet365v and new customers can take advantage of their sign-up offer by clicking the button below.

Fury vs Makhmudov prediction and fight preview

Tyson Fury to win in rounds 7-12

Tyson Fury may be coming back from retirement but he hasn’t been out of the ring for that long when you consider that a lot of boxers only fight once or twice a year, particularly at the top level.

Fury lost the second of his two bouts with Usyk in December 2024 so this isn’t even an 18-month lay-off and as such any suggestion of ring rust isn’t a major concern.

Makhmudov is a tough fighter with serious power, but he’s also one-dimensional and if Fury is anywhere near his best on Saturday he should win this fairly easily.

Makhmudov has a 21-2 record and is coming into this contest on the back of a points win over Dave Allen. His two losses have come via stoppages, to Agit Kabayel and Guido Vianello, and Fury should be able to force a stoppage here even if he isn’t a huge puncher himself.

The Russian is lacking in defensive skills and can be an easy target. Fury doesn’t have the kind of power that will allow him to just blow the 36-year-old away in one visit but he should be able to pick Makhmudov off as the rounds progress and he can force a stoppage in the second half of the fight.

Fury vs Makhmudov undercard tips + 10/1 treble

Tyson Fury to win in rounds 7-12 vs Arslanbek Makhmudov

Over 6.5 rounds – Conor Benn vs Regis Prograis at 11/10

The co-main event sees Conor Benn in action for the first time since his revenge win over Chris Eubank Jr and his high-profile split from Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom stable.

Benn has voiced a desire to challenge for world titles at 147lbs but on Saturday he’s facing Regis Prograis in a 150lbs catchweight bout over 10 rounds.

This marks a step up in weight for former super lightweight world champion Prograis and he is the clear underdog. Benn last fought at middleweight so there could be a significant size difference here but Prograis is a durable and skillful fighter, although at 37-years-old an upset win looks unlikely.

The best angle here could be backing over 6.5 rounds. Prograis has a 30-3 record and has never been stopped, while Benn hasn’t stopped any of his last four opponents and has never claimed an early finish against anyone as good as Prograis. This fight could go the full distance, so 6/5 on over 6.5 rounds looks a strong play here.

Richard Riakporhe to win by KO, TKO or DQ vs Jeamie Tshikeva at 1/1

Jeamie Tshikeva stunned Frazer Clarke to win the British title and now defends that strap against Richard Riakporhe.

Riakporhe is a former world title challenger at cruiserweight and looks a level of two above Jeamie TKV. Riakporhe has fought twice at heavyweight and has won both of those contests by stoppage. He probably won’t be able to work his way up to world title competition at heavyweight but he can operate higher than the domestic level and his accuracy and power should see him finish the job early against TKK, who has been stopped twice in an 11-fight career.
