The accumulator started strong at Knicks vs Pelicans as a strong first two quarters saw a total of 126 points being scored. The scoring would continue at a slightly slower rate in the remaining two quarters but good enough to see 234 points scored and land leg one of our accumulator.
Next up we needed 214 points or more from the Bulls vs Pacers clash. This game looked destined to fall just short of the mark as quarter totals of 56, 44 and 51 meant we needed 63 or more from the final quarter to keep our bet going. Our prayers were answered at the United Centre as the Pacers took the final quarter 37-33 to secure the win and also the second leg of our accumulator
Grizzlies vs Spurs next and we needed a mammoth 232 points in this one, and this highly anticipated show down started in the perfect fashion with 69 points scored in the opening quarter. a slower second quarter followed with 51 points scored but both sides upped their game in the second half of the match, third quarter total of 78 and final quarter total of 57 was enough to comfortably see us over the line in that one.
The penultimate leg saw us like the look of the Lakers and think they were good enough to cover the spread against the Mavericks. We needed the Lakers to cover an 7.5 point handicap in favour of the Mavericks and they did so in style thanks to an impressive first quarter showing of 45-27. They went on to win two of the remaining three quarters to smash the handicap out the park at the American Airlines Center and see us on to the final bet.
Last up was the Milwaukee Bucks and we thought they would be far too strong for the Kings and backed them to overturn a 8.5 points spread. The first quarter proved to be the pivotal one as the Bucks raced into a 34-18 lead. Although the Kings hit back in the second quarter it wouldn’t be enough as the final two quarter were both won by the Bucks 37-31 to win by 21 and also comfortably land our 17/1 NBA Accumulator
