We’re nearly a week into the World Cup and finally England’s opener is almost upon us as the Three Lions face Croatia at AT&T Stadium in Dallas on Wednesday night.
We’ve got the game covered in our dedicated Match Predictions section and now I’ve delved into the player markets to put together a trio of bet builders. I’ve put together an 92/1 Ultimate Bet Builder tip and a more modest 11/1 be builder, which when combined together form a huge 265/1 seven-fold I’ve coined the Ultimate Bet Builder XL.

Harry Kane To Score Or Assist
England captain Harry Kane enjoyed another outrageous season for Bayern Munich with 36 goals and five assists in 32 Bundesliga games. Kane scored eight goals in as many qualifiers for England and has 79 in 114 caps in total. A goal is more likely than an assist from the Three Lions forward but there isn’t a massive difference in the price by covering both so it makes sense to back him to either add to his international haul or set up a team-mate.
Josko Gvardiol To Have 1+ Shots On Target
Premier League-based players have a habit of raising their levels when they face the England national side and that could translate to at least one attempt on target for Man City’s Josko Gvardiol. The Croatia defender averaged just under a shot per-game for City in both the league and the Champions League with an accuracy rate of around 35%. He also averaged a similar rate in terms of attempts for Croatia in qualifying but had a better accuracy rate of 50%. Gvardiol also provides an aerial threat from set pieces and at a big price he looks capable of at least testing the England keeper.
Anthony Gordon To Have 1+ Shots On Target
Anthony Gordon should get the nod to start for England ahead of Marcus Rashford and he can at least register a shot on target. Gordon scored and provided an assist in the warm-up win over Costa Rica, and the Barcelona-bound forward averaged 0.8 shots on target per-game for Newcastle in the Premier League.
Luka Vuskovic To Be Shown A Card
Luka Vuskovic spent the season on loan at Hamburg from Tottenham and picked up six yellow cards in 28 Bundesliga games. The 19-year-old averaged exactly one foul per-game in Germany and had seven in his final four games for Hamburg, so he looks a big price option to be shown a card.

Josko Gvardiol To Have 1+ Shots

Petar Musa To Have 1+ Shots On Target
Petar Musa plays his club football in this city and is expected to start ahead of the experienced Andrej Kramaric in attack for Croatia. Musa has 12 goals in just 13 MLS games for FC Dallas this season and averages 1.7 attempts per-game on target. In qualifying, he averaged 0.9 shots on target per 90 mins for Croatia and the in-form forward can at least record one attempt on goal.
