35/1 Bet Builder for Man City vs PSG in the Champions League

Sports Journalist at FST, Gareth qualified as a journalist after graduating from university and spent over a decade as a freelance broadcast journalist, commentator and tipster before joining FST. Now living in Manchester, he is a long suffering Bolton Wanderers fan who also enjoys boxing, the NBA, tennis and rugby league.

Manchester City put their off-field turbulence firmly to one side at the weekend with a resounding 3-0 win at Anfield and now they turn their focus to a Champions League assignment against holders PSG.

We’ve got the game covered in our dedicated Match Predictions section and I’ve put together this 35/1 bet builder tip focusing on the player markets, which can be backed with Paddy Power using the buttons below.

Back our 35/1 Man City vs PSG Bet Builder here

Erling Haaland to have 3+ shots on target (including woodwork)

Erling Haaland had six shots with four on target in Man City’s win at Porto. The City star is averaging 3.7 shots per game in the Premier League and is shooting with an accuracy rate of just under 50% and he’s scored eight goals in his last six games for his club. Three or more shots on target, including woodwork, looks an achievable target for Haaland.

Erling Haaland to be fouled 1+ times

With Haaland backed to have a strong game in attack, PSG may be forced into a bit of gamesmanship to try to keep him quiet. Haaland is fouled exactly once per game in the Premier League and he was fouled 0.6 times per game in Europe last season.

Nuno Mendes to be shown a card

Nuno Mendes should come back into the PSG side after being rested at the weekend and he looks the standout candidate for a booking. Mendes has two cards this season and both have come in big games, with Mendes sent off in the French Super Cup defeat to Lens and booked in Le Classique.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to have 1+ shots on target (including woodwork)

PSG’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is averaging exactly one shot on target per game in Ligue 1 and can at least test the keeper in Manchester. The Georgian forward had 10 goals in the Champions League last season and will be looking to open his account on Wednesday after remaining on the bench in PSG’s opener against Slovan Bratislava.

Rayan Cherki to commit 1+ fouls

City’s Rayan Cherki commits on average 0.8 fouls per game in the Premier League. The former Lyon man made three tackles against Liverpool at the weekend and should get involved in the physical side of the game against PSG, so one or more infringements seems likely.
