Both Everton and Manchester United have had long sabbaticals between their last game and this Monday Night Football clash, it will be almost two weeks since the pair’s last match when this one kicks off.
A resurgence under Michael Carrick has left the Red Devils aiming for a top four spot and they have seen teams around them in the race for Europe drop points.
Meanwhile Everton are also on the outskirts of the race for a European position after a solid campaign under David Moyes.
These two teams should be fresh and a competitive affair looks likely so I’ve built a 40/1 Ultimate Bet Builder to start the week in style.
Everton vs Man United Ultimate Bet Builder
Bruno Fernandes to score or assist
Bruno Fernandes has long been the crucial player in this Manchester United team and he has been even more influential than usual this term, with six goals and a league-leading 12 assists for the Red Devils.
He has been particularly effective on the road, with two goals and eight assists in his last nine away games.
The Portuguese star has moved back into his favoured number 10 position under Michael Carrick and can continue to thrive, side with him to score or assist against the Toffees.
Amad Diallo to have a shot on target
Ivorian forward Amad Diallo is another player who seems to have had a new lease of life since Michael Carrick took over as the Manchester United boss and he is fancied for a shot on target in this one.
Diallo has managed eight shots on target in his last 11 games for club and country, and his pace could cause real issues for what can be a slow Everton back line.
James Garner to be shown a card
James Garner has been a real standout for Everton this season in midfield, with some even suggesting that his first-ever England call-up may be on the horizon.
However, the former Manchester United player does have a habit of getting stuck in and he has been booked seven times in all competitions this season.
Against a Manchester United midfield with a new-found energy recently, Garner looks a prime candidate for his eighth card of the campaign.
Nathan Patterson to be shown a card
A red card for Jake O’Brien against Bournemouth last time out means that Nathan Patterson may have to start for Everton, particularly as Seamus Coleman has not played since a bizarre reverse fixture in which Idrissa Gana Gueye was sent off for slapping Michael Keane.
Patterson has played very little for the Toffees since his move from Rangers as he has struggled with injury issues.
The Scottish right-back has only started four games this season and any ring rust could be exposed by a pacy Red Devils attack. Patterson was booked four times in nine starts two seasons ago and is another card candidate.
