Aston Villa vs Watford

Correct Score Prediction: 2-0 Watford

Aston Villa are in dire straits. They haven’t won a Premier League game since the opening day of the season and their measly five point haul leaves them at the bottom of the table and five points from safety. Watford are doing a much better job of avoiding the drop, and they held their own in defeats to Leicester and Manchester United after they picked up back to back 2-0 wins. Their defence is fairly good as well, so I’m not expecting the tragic Villa attack to get past them, and with Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney in good form I think a 2-0 scoreline looks promising.

Bournemouth vs Everton

Correct Score Prediction: 3-1 Everton

Bournemouth’s injury crisis has hit them hard, and they haven’t won a match since star striker Callum Wilson limped off against Stoke with a serious knee injury. Everton, on the other hand, are in excellent form. Romelu Lukaku is looking as sharp as he ever has done and with his pace and power I think he’ll have a field day against a weak Bournemouth defence. Everton could move closer to the Europa League qualification positions with a win on Saturday, and I’m expecting a comfortable victory for them.

Crystal Palace vs Newcastle

Correct Score Prediction: 2-1 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace suffered a shock defeat on Monday night as they slumped to a dull 1-0 loss to the out of form Sunderland. But I think they will have well and truly learned their lesson, and will be an improved side against Sunderland’s north east rivals Newcastle. Newcastle have improved in the past few weeks, but they are still a side who will be fighting against relegation I think. A standard 2-1 win for Alan Pardew’s side as he sees his old club come to town look like a good backing to me.

Manchester City vs Southampton

Correct Score Prediction: 2-1 Manchester City

Manchester City have now gone three games without a win in all competitions, and the 4-1 drubbing at the hands of Liverpool last weekend will have hurt them badly. This highlights the defensive frailties they posses when Vincent Kompany is absent, and he’s expected to be sidelined again on Saturday. But Graziano Pelle is suspended for the visitors, so that should limit their scoring opportunities a bit. With Sergio Aguero back to near full fitness I think City can get a win, but I don’t expect them to keep a clean sheet.

Sunderland vs Stoke

Correct Score Prediction: 1-1 Draw

Sunderland’s 1-0 win away to Crystal Palace on Monday represented a huge upturn in fortunes for them. They kept a rare clean sheet against a dismal Crystal Palace and managed to grab a late winner. It looks like Big Sam could finally be sorting the Sunderland defence out. But Stoke are in good form coming into this match, so I think they can break through the Sunderland defence. But they haven’t exactly been big scorers this season, so I think their scoring will be limited. Sunderland should be grabbing a goal as well, so I think 1-1 is a good looking scoreline for this one.

Leicester vs Manchester United (17:30)

Correct Score Prediction: 2-2 Draw

An unlikely top of the table clash in the Premier League, and it’s one that I think will bring out the best in both sides. Leicester have been impressive to say the least in attack, and Jamie Vardy is looking to break the record for consecutive Premier League games scored in this weekend. I think their fast attacking style of play can get through a stern Manchester United defence, and their poorness at the back will allow the visiting sides attackers more opportunities for goals. Leicester are the more forward going of the sides, and at home I fancy them to grab the first goal, which will force Man United to attack and open the game up more.
