England warm up for their crucial Euro 2024 qualifier against Italy next week with a friendly against old sporting rivals Australia on Friday.

The Socceroos, after a relatively promising World Cup campaign, have been in poor form of late but will be looking to raise their game at Wembley and we’ve priced up a tasty Bet Builder for the occasion.

Both teams to score at 29/20

Australia have not been in the best of form since the World Cup ended but they have been keeping things competitive, scoring in three of their four matches.

They found the net against both eventual World Cup finalists – France and Argentina – in Qatar and have netted in nine of their last ten fixtures. With England likely to field a weaker lineup and the Three Lions conceding in their last two matches, expect the Socceroos to trouble Gareth Southgate’s back line.

Ollie Watkins to score anytime at 4/5

England manager Gareth Southgate has hinted at using this match as a testing ground ahead of their crucial Euro 2024 qualifier against Italy and one man that could get the chance to impress is Ollie Watkins.

The Aston Villa forward has two goals in seven England appearances and has made a fantastic start to the season for his club. He has scored seven goals across all competitions for the Villans and has chipped in with four assists, too.

Jackson Irvine to be shown a card at 23/10

Jackson Irvine has recovered from an ankle injury to take his place in the Australia squad but the St Pauli midfielder could find himself on the wrong side of the referee at Wembley.

The 30-year-old was booked twice for Australia in the World Cup and has started the new season with a raft of bookings, picking up a yellow card in each of his last four starts for St Pauli.

Harry Maguire to be shown a card at 7/2

Harry Maguire was the only England player to be booked in their World Cup campaign and has followed that up with another couple of bookings in his Euro 2024 qualifying appearances.

The Manchester United defender has not had much game time since the start of last season but was booked seven times in 27 appearances for his club last season, with 14 of those appearances coming off the bench and him earning a booking every 189 minutes.
