Who to Bench

Everton, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Newcastle Players

The Capital One Cup Final on Sunday has resulted in two postponed fixtures, so I’m afraid there will be no points for Romelu Lukaku, Ross Barkley, Sergio Aguero, or Georginio Wijnaldum this weekend.

Southampton Defenders

Southampton may have been fantastic at the back recently, but this weekend they face an in form Chelsea who have netted 11 times in their last three matches in all competitions. The visitors will be on a high after mauling Manchester City in the FA Cup and I don’t expect the hosts to keep another clean sheet.

Who to Buy

Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez

The dynamic Leicester duo play at home against the joint worst defensive team in the Premier League this weekend. Norwich have conceded an average of three goals per game over the past month, so we should expect a few goals from the two highest scoring players in Fantasy Football.

Dimitri Payet – Price: 8.3 Million

The West Ham playmaker ran the show against Blackburn last weekend to pick up where he left off against Norwich the weekend before. He faces Sunderland this weekend, who have the joint worst defensive record in the league. He should put their faltering defence to the sword and will undoubtedly be behind everything good that West Ham do.

Stoke Defenders

Stoke take on bottom of the table Aston Villa at the Britannia on Saturday. The visitors have only netted 20 times all season and Stoke is a notoriously difficult place to visit, so I’m expecting a clean sheet for the hosts on Saturday.

Harry Kane – Price: 10.1 Million

Spurs are likely to welcome Harry Kane back into the squad despite his doubtful listing. He has a broken nose but that’s unlikely to rule him out as Spurs’ look to leapfrog Leicester and take the top spot in the Premier League. They play Swansea at home, so he has every chance of bagging a goal and should be your flagship striker in Lukaku’s absence.
