Liverpool vs Arsenal bet365 Bet Builder Special With 25/1 Selection!

Born in the south east of Ireland, Simon put his life-long love of football to good use when he started a successful independent blog in 2010. That opened up an alternative route to a career in journalism, and having had work published across a number of sites and publications, Simon joined the staff at Spotlight Sports Group in 2018.

Liverpool and Arsenal put their perfect Premier League starts on the line when they meet in a potentially explosive top-flight tussle at Anfield in Saturday’s evening kick-off.

The division’s current top two were the only teams to take maximum points from their opening brace of Premier League fixtures, though one side is certain to have their copybook blotted for the first time this season on Merseyside this weekend.

Liverpool’s games against Arsenal have traditionally been among the most exciting domestic contests in England – in fact, no other fixture has seen more goals than matches between Liverpool and Arsenal (155 goals in 54 games).

The high potential for drama makes Liverpool vs Arsenal one of the Premier League’s most popular fixtures with punters, and at bet365, you can make the most of the wide range of betting options and markets for their latest encounter by customising and creating a unique bet using their Bet Builder.

What is bet365’s Bet Builder?

Bet Builder allows you create the bet YOU want on any football match. You can choose from a list of the most popular markets and once you have added them to your bet, you can calculate the odds from your customised selection.

You can add up to 6 separate markets to your Bet Builder selection, and your odds will update automatically each time you add a new selection.

Once you are finished and happy with your selections, select the price displayed on the Bet Builder slip and your unique bet will be added to your bet slip.

Liverpool vs Arsenal Bet Builder Tips

Roberto Firmino to score anytime

Given his comparably modest goalscoring output, Roberto Firmino is the least championed member of Liverpool’s ferocious attacking trident, though the Brazilian routinely bucks the trend to grab more of the spotlight in games against Arsenal.

Remarkably, the hard-working, deep lying forward has scored more goals against the Gunners than any other Premier League team since he signed for Liverpool in 2015.

Firmino has scored 8 times in total for Liverpool against Arsenal, 7 of which were plundered in his 4 appearances against them at Anfield.

When Liverpool battered Arsenal 5-1 at Anfield on the Gunners’ last visit there in December 2018, Firmino struck a fabulous hattrick, and the 27-year old is certain to be relishing the prospect of facing the defence he dismantled so easily last year.

Armed with the confidence gained from his superb individual record in games against Arsenal, we think Firmino is well worth backing in the anytime goalscorer market for Saturday’s game.

One of Firmino’s strike partners Mohamed Salah features in our Fantasy Football tips for game week three of the Premier League. Click the link to see who else made the cut.

Liverpool v Barcelona

Over 4 goals for both teams combined

As we touched on in our introduction, games between Liverpool and Arsenal are statistically THE most exciting Premier League fixtures in history, and recent meetings between the clubs have been firmly in keeping with the contest’s goal-scoring traditions.

Six of the last seven skirmishes between Liverpool and Arsenal produced over 2.5 goals – in fact, that septet of games averaged a staggering 5 goals per 90 minutes.

The last four matches between the clubs at Anfield finished 5-1, 4-0, 3-1 and 3-3 respectively (three Liverpool wins and one draw), and their latest encounter on Saturday has all the makings of another goal-fest.

Liverpool’s searingly hot attack has already notched six Premier League goals in just two games, though their defence has looked uncharacteristically wobbly enough to suggest that goals are on offer for Arsenal this weekend too.

Sokratis to get booked

Arsenal’s Greek centre-back Sokratis is a defender cut from more traditional clothe. The no-nonsense stopper likes to throw his weight around for the Gunners, employing a more physical than technical style of play at the heart of Arsenal’s defence.

It shouldn’t come a surprise then, to routinely see Sokratis’ name high on the list of the Premier League’s most carded players. Last season, the defender was shown yellow 12 times in just 25 league starts for Arsenal – a figure that statistically made him the most ill-disciplined player at the club.

The 31-year old was cautioned in injury time on Arsenal’s last visit to Anfield in December during the Gunners’ harrowing 5-1 reverse, and with Sokratis expected to have a similarly high defensive workload on Sunday, we think this serial offender looks great value in the bookings market again.

Liverpool winning at half-time/full-time

Arsenal were unable to cope with the ferocity and velocity of Liverpool’s attacking play at Anfield in each of their last three Premier League trips there, and we think the potential for history to repeat itself on Saturday is high.

Liverpool put a combined 12 goals past Arsenal in that trio of sporting eviscerations, and in each contest, the rampant Reds were leading at half time and full time.

Jurgen Klopp’s men generally show that same dominance and control of games against most visitors to the red half of Merseyside. Liverpool were leading at half time and full time in seven of their last eight Premier League matches at home, and we think there is every chance of that pattern repeating itself on Saturday.

Our Premier League analysts also believe that The Reds irresistible form at Anfield will come to the fore again this weekend – and that’s part of the reason why they’ve tipped Liverpool to beat Arsenal on Saturday. Read our detailed match preview of the game to see their other predictions of the game.

Over 21.5 free kicks for both teams combined

While Liverpool and Arsenal’s games are consistently high on goal-scoring entertainment, their skirmishes have also had a noticeable edge to them.

An average of 20.5 free kicks were awarded for both teams combined across the last six meetings between Liverpool and Arsenal, though high points of 23 and 30 frees were also reached inside that sextet of fixtures.

It’s worth nothing that the fixture that saw 30 free kicks awarded was played in August 2016, when both Arsenal and Liverpool were trying to put down an early marker in an early season high-profile top 4 battle.

Saturday’s game at Anfield fits the same profile as that free-kick free for all three seasons ago, and we expect the tackles to be flying just as liberally this weekend.
