Chelsea vs West Brom

Correct Score Prediction: 2-0 Chelsea

Chelsea are enjoying a honeymoon period with new interim manager Guus Hiddink and come into this match on the back of a five match unbeaten streak. They have netted five times in their last two outings and are coming up against a West Brom side who’s defence crumbles away from home. The visitors have only won one of their last seven away days and have conceded 11 times during this period, so I think Chelsea can bag a couple against them on Wednesday.

Manchester City vs Everton

Correct Score Prediction: 3-1 Manchester City

Manchester City have won ten of their last 11 home matches in all competitions, but despite this excellent form they have been defensively vulnerable. They have shipped at least a goal in each of their last 13 home games and come up against an Everton side in excellent scoring form. But their attacking form hasn’t translated in to results, and I think Everton will lose this one. They are also defensively vulnerable and Manchester City’s attacking players are in tremendous form. A high scoring 3-1 win for Manchester City looks good to me.

Southampton vs Watford

Correct Score Prediction: 2-1 Watford

Southampton continued their shocking form at the weekend when they were knocked out of the FA Cup by Crystal Palace. This made it eight defeats from their last ten matches in all competitions, and they’re coming up against a Watford side enjoying an excellent first season back in the Premier League. The visitors put up a good fight against Manchester City and Spurs, with these two defeats joining five victories and a draw in their last eight matches. I think they’ll win on Wednesday, and backing 2-1 looks good to me.

Stoke vs Norwich

Correct Score Prediction: 2-0 Stoke

Stoke come into this game having won five of their last seven home matches in all competitions, and they’re facing a Norwich side who have lost eight of their last ten away days. The hosts have also managed to keep a clean sheet in four of their last seven games at the Britannia, and will be looking to take advantage of Norwich’s comprehensive 3-0 defeat to Manchester City at the weekend. I think a typically efficient 2-0 win for Stoke is a good backing here.

Liverpool vs Arsenal

Correct Score Prediction: 3-1 Arsenal

Arsenal come into this game at Anfield having only lost once to Liverpool in their last nine meetings. They have also won eight of their last ten games in all competitions, losing just once. By comparison, Liverpool could only muster a draw against Exeter at the weekend and have had defensive nightmares against West Ham and Watford in recent weeks. Their host of defensive injuries doesn’t help either, so I think the excellent Mesut Ozil could put it on a platter for a few players on Wednesday. Considering their attacking form, I think 3-1 is a good backing.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Leicester

Correct Score Prediction: 2-1 Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to get a psychological edge over Leicester ahead of their FA Cup 3rd Round Replay, but it will be a close one. Leicester very nearly beat them on Sunday, but Harry Kane’s heroics saved the hosts. But Spurs have won nine of their last 15 matches in all competitions and are looking very impressive in the Premier League at the moment. I think they can get the win against a Leicester side who look to be slumping a little, and 2-1 looks good to me.
