After the welcome return of the EFL and La Liga at the weekend, we look forward to the action stepping up a notch this week.

Qualification for the Champions League, Europa League and UEFA Conference League continues, while the weekend will treat us to the long-awaited start of the Premier League season.

I have dived into the week’s schedule to pick out my ten best bets of the week, which can be combined into a giant 247/1 acca below.

Back our 247/1 Weekly Top 10 acca here

Over 2.5 goals in Dinamo Zagreb vs Viking (Tuesday, 8pm)

A 7-1 aggregate win over Kauno Zalgiris in the last round continued a run of high-scoring matches for Dinamo Zagreb, and similar is expected when they host Viking.

Over 2.5 goals has landed in their last eight home European games and Viking have been involved in a string of exciting affairs in Norway’s top flight, with three or more goals being scored in five of their last six assignments.

Fenerbahce to beat Lyon (Tuesday, 8pm)

Lyon may have excelled in their home leg against Sparta Prague, but that followed a disappointing 2-1 defeat away from home and that is something home-specialists Fenerbahce will be looking to exploit.

The Turkish side have not lost a home qualifier since 2022 and have won ten of the 11 fixtures since. With a typically raucous atmosphere expected in Istanbul, they can secure a first-leg lead in their quest to reach the Champions League proper for the first time since 2008.

Celtic to beat LASK (Wednesday, 8pm)

Celtic have started the season with three successive wins and they can add a fourth against a LASK side that have struggled on the road in Europe in recent years.

The Austrians reached the UEFA Conference League league phase in 2024/25, but they have lost each of their last seven European away games and haven’t won a continental away day since 2022.

Over 2.5 goals in NEC vs Bodo/Glimt (Wednesday, 8pm)

Bodo/Glimt lit up the Champions League last season with a string of impressive attacking performances, and now they meet a similarly goal-hungry NEC side returning to European football for the first time since 2008.

Each of NEC’s last three games have produced at least three goals, while over 2.5 goals has been a winner in each of Bodo/Glimt’s last six games and in each of their last ten European ties.

Benfica over 2.5 team goals vs AGF Aarhus (Thursday, 8pm)

A 4-0 away defeat to Sabah in Champions League qualifying knocked AGF down to the Europa League, and they could be in for another tough time when they travel to Lisbon on Thursday.

Benfica beat Hearts 6-1 and St Gallen 5-0 in their two home European games this season and AGF have conceded at least three goals in three of their last five away games in Europe.

Bohemians to beat Derry City (Friday, 7:45pm)

Bohemians have taken a hit in recent weeks with their elimination from the UEFA Conference League, but their home form is solid and they can live up to their favouritism against Derry City on Friday.

They have won four of their last six home games, only losing to Midtjylland, while the visiting Candystripes are winless in their last eight Irish Premier Division away games.

Both teams to score in Sligo Rovers vs Waterford (Friday, 7:45pm)

Waterford have enjoyed an upturn in form as they look to distance themselves from the relegation battle in Ireland. Still, their defence away from home remains a concern and rock-bottom Sligo Rovers should be able to get on the scoresheet.

Waterford have scored 12 and conceded 13 in their last six away games and both teams have found the net in five of these, and Rovers have seen goals at both ends in their last six home league games.

Arsenal to win to nil vs Coventry (Friday, 8pm)

The newly promoted Coventry raise the curtain on the Premier League season in the most difficult fashion imaginable as they visit reigning champions Arsenal, and the Gunners can get their defence up and running with a routine win.

Mikel Arteta’s side outclassed Manchester City in the Community Shield at the weekend and built their title-winning season from the back. They conceded just 27 goals in 38 games and only 11 of those were shipped at the Emirates.

Both teams to score in Hull vs Manchester United (Saturday, 12:30pm)

Manchester United are short-priced favourites to open their campaign with a win, but their defence remains a weakness and the newly promoted Hull could capitalise on that.

Out of last season’s Premier League top eight, only Liverpool and Bournemouth conceded more than the Red Devils and they have conceded in five of their six pre-season friendlies, while the Tigers scored in six of their final eight Championship home fixtures last term.

Le Havre double chance vs Monaco (Sunday, 4:15pm)

Le Havre may have spent last season battling relegation, but they lost just four of their 17 Ligue 1 home games and may begin afresh by defying the odds against Monaco.

The visitors have lost Maghnes Akliouche, Aladji Bamba and Caio Henrique this summer and only won six away games last season. They have only won two of their last six meetings with Le Havre and haven’t won at Stade Oceane since a 2011 Ligue 1 encounter.
