AC Milan vs Manchester United Predictions
- AC Milan have failed to win any of their last four home games across all competitions.
- Manchester United are unbeaten in each of their last 12 away fixtures.
- The Red Devils claimed a 3-2 victory on their last visit to the San Siro in 2010.
United delight at the San Siro
There was not much to separate AC Milan and Manchester United during last week’s first-leg at Old Trafford, but Simon Kjaer’s injury-time strike did hand the Rossoneri a potentially crucial away goal.
However, Milan’s form at the San Siro has been patchy at best of late, as they have failed to win any of their last four games on home soil.
Indeed, Milan have only won once in six on their own patch and that sole victory was against Serie A’s bottom club Crotone back in early February.
Manchester United are likely to provide a much sterner test than that, particularly considering Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are unbeaten in their last 12 away matches across all competitions.
United’s impressive away record stretches back all season, as they have only lost two of their 22 matches on the road, although both those defeats did come in European competition against RB Leipzig and Istanbul Basaksehir.
The Red Devils have also claimed more points on the road than they have on their own patch in the Premier League this season, while they beat Real Sociedad 4-0 in their last Europa league away match.
A repeat of that emphatic victory may be unlikely on Thursday, but we do predict United to triumph, just as they did on their last visit to Milan in 2010, with our overall score prediction being for a 2-1 away success.
