AFC Wimbledon vs Ipswich Predictions
- Three of these sides last four meetings have resulted in draws
- Wimbledon haven’t won in seven matches
- Ipswich have won one of their last six away games
Resolute Dons tough to beat
Wimbledon’s lack of fire power up front may end up being what costs them their place in League One. Mark Robinson has made his Dons’ side very hard to beat of late, but they really lack the killer instinct which is required to turn draws into much needed wins. Wimbledon have drawn their last three consecutive matches and are unbeaten in their last six home games, they are set to make life difficult for Ipswich.
Ipswich may be content with a point
Ipswich Town’s away form might be the stumbling block that prevents them from making the play-offs. Currently eight points off 6th place Oxford, if the Tractors Boy are to close this gap their away from really needs to improve. They have won one of their six matches on their travels, and they have only taken 14 points from 13 away games this season. Given their recent struggles on the road and given Wimbledon’s good recent home form, Ipswich may have to settle for a point on Tuesday.
Three of these sides last four meetings have resulted in draws. Wimbledon are unbeaten in their last six home matches, three of those being draws, whilst Ipswich are fairly tame on their travels. Ipswich have failed to score in four of their last six away games. I am expecting this to be a very tight game and my main selection will be for this to finish all square. In the correct score market, I will go for 1-1.
