      Barcelona vs Celta Vigo Predictions

The Catalans broke a Spanish record by extending their unbeaten run to 29 games in all competitions in midweek with a 1-1 draw at Valencia in the Copa del Rey. That gave them an 8-1 aggregate win and a Semi-Final place and a Copa del Rey Final against Sevilla to look forward to.

They can take another step towards what would be an historic successive treble with victory over Celta Vigo here. Barca have won 19 of their last 20 matches at the Camp Nou and even against a decent side like Celta, it is likely to be just a question of how many they are going to score. They’ve netted 3 or more goals in 13 of their last 15 at home and have hit 22 in their last 5 matches alone.

Celta Vigo’s slim chances are made slimmer by a lengthy list of injuries and suspensions. Their two top scorers Nolito and Iago Aspas are both out while Sergio Gomez and Fabian Orellana are also among 4 players they have suspended here.

The Galicians haven’t had a great time of it of late either in the league and have picked up just 4 points from their last 7 matches to slip down to 7th place. Given all their problems, it is hard to see them denying a Barca side that will be close to full strength and backing the Catalans with a -3.0 Asian Handicap at 1.975 looks a decent ploy here.

They weren’t quite at their best last time out away at Levante but still won 2-0 and a solid 4-0 margin is perfectly plausible here as it’s hard to see Celta scoring without their best attacking players. That result can be backed at 13/2.
