Tip Reasoning

Barnet fell to a 2-1 defeat at Exeter on Good Friday to make it three losses on the bounce for them, but they will be extremely grateful that this losing streak didn’t happen a few weeks ago. As it stands they are a comfortable nine points clear of the League Two relegation zone with just 12 points left to play for, so they can be relatively sure of their participation in the league next season now.

Unfortunately that doesn’t help their current form much. They have won just one of their last 11 games in League Two and have lost four of their last five, failing to score in three of them and not keeping a clean sheet in 11 league matches now.

Wycombe Wanderers have their eyes on a different prize, although it’s becoming more unlikely with every week that passes. The visitors sit 13th in the table, but they are only four points adrift of the last of the playoffs spots and know that a winning end to the season could see them infiltrate the top seven.

They would have a much better chance had it not been for their 1-0 loss at home to Mansfield on Friday though, a defeat which makes it three wins, four draws, and two defeats in their last nine League Two matches.

This run of form doesn’t exactly instil confidence in Wycombe that they can make up the four point deficit, especially as there are plenty of other teams around them in much better shape at the moment.

Strangely enough it’s at home that Wycombe are struggling. On the road they have won three games in a row and haven’t lost since the middle of February, whilst Barnet have won one, drawn four, and lost four of their last nine home games.

This makes odds of 5/6 for a Wycombe Draw No Bet look a good value offering, so I’m backing that along with a 2-0 correct score predictions at 11/1.
