Belgium vs Montenegro Predictions
- Belgium have won without conceding in three of their last four home matches
- The Belgians have not lost in their 12 games under coach Domenico Tedesco
- Both teams have scored in just three of Montenegro’s last 13 matches
Belgium still have a lot to prove
There will be plenty of punters who have given up having any faith in Belgium as it seems that the end is nigh for their golden generation, but they should have few problems in seeing off Montenegro in the first of two Euro 2024 warm-up friendlies.
With a game against Luxembourg still to come before their tournament opener on June 17 against Slovakia, manager Domenico Tedesco looks set to announce a strong team to take on Montenegro and they can get the job done without conceding, which has happened in three of their last four home matches.
They may not be the force they were but they are unbeaten in their 12 games under the Italian coach, so it is unwise to write them off yet.
Montenegro could find themselves outclassed
So the home side have enough motivations to demonstrate they can be a force in Germany and that is bad news for Montenegro, even though they have started producing some good results.
Robert Prosinecki has taken the reins and the team have won five of their last eight matches, but they have generally been found wanting against decent opposition.
They lost 3-1 at Euro 2024 qualifiers Hungary and Serbia and may concede a similar number of goals against the Belgians, although it would be a surprise if they found the net so correct-score punters may be interested in a 3-0 home win.
