Two of the most in-form teams in Turkey go head-to-head on Monday evening when Besiktas host Istanbul Basaksehir. Besiktas can return to the top of the Super Lig table with a draw, while Basaksehir can climb above their opponents with a victory.

Basaksehir have played one game less than the majority of their Turkish rivals, but Emre Belozoglu’s troops have shown they mean business after qualifying for the group stages of the Europa Conference League.

Besiktas have now won three on the spin in the league, and the performances of Giorgi Beridze, Jackson Muleka and Dele Alli have caught the eye inside the first few weeks of the campaign.

Emre’s side have only failed to score in one of their previous ten matches in all competitions, while they have scored 11 in five on their travels. The last meeting between the pair finished in a 2-2 draw, and history could repeat itself as the two title contenders go head-to-head.
