      Birmingham to Win

      Reason for tip

In-form Birmingham have lost just once at home all season and should make lightwork of a struggling West Brom side that have picked up only a solitary point from their last 12 Championship away fixtures.

      Birmingham 2-0

      Reason for tip

These two sides are in contrasting form and Birmingham, who scored two goals last time out against Leicester, should run out comfortable winners against a West Brom side that have failed to score in their last two games.

Birmingham vs West Bromwich Albion Predictions

      • Birmingham have lost only one of 15 home matches in the Championship this season
      • West Brom are without a win eight matches, five of which have come under Eric Ramsay
      • The Baggies have taken just one point from their last 12 Championship away fixtures

Blues tough to stop on home soil

Birmingham have reignited their push for back-to-back promotions over recent weeks, as they are unbeaten in six Championship matches, winning four of those games, and they should fancy their chances of seeing off struggling West Midlands rivals West Brom.

Blues have looked particularly strong at their St Andrew’s base, as they have suffered the joint-fewest home defeats in the second tier this season, losing just one of their 15 games – a 3-2 slip up against Hull in October.

Chris Davies’ side recorded their eighth home win of the season against another struggling side, Leicester, on Saturday and they can follow up against a West Brom team that have lost on their last three trips to St Andrew’s.

      Baggies have lost their bounce

It has been a dreadful few months for West Brom, who have lost nine of their last 12 Championship matches to turn from play-off contenders into relegation candidates.

Ryan Mason lost his job in the midst of that run, but his replacement, Eric Ramsay, has failed to win any of his five matches in charge, extending the Baggies’ overall winless run to eight.

Albion have particularly struggled on the road, picking up just a solitary point from their last 12 Championship away fixtures, and given they have failed to score in their last two away games, this could be another bleak evening for the team from the Black Country.
