Boavista vs Famalicao Predictions

Carving a path

For Boavista their home form has somewhat offered them a trail to mid-table. They haven’t won a league game since August but are unbeaten in eight home matches in all competitions and have drawn each of their last three.

Their two league wins this term have both been attained at the Esatdio do Bessa Seculo XXI and they have limited their guests to just 0.4 goals per game.

The hosts, however, have a problem in front of goal themselves and have scored multiple goals in just one of their last seven league games. A 4-1 loss to Porto in their last outing leaves Joao Pedro Sousa’s men firmly in mid-table in 9th and clearly highlighted that they can’t always rely on their defence.

Each of Boavista’s last four home matches have seen under 2.5 goals scored and 11 of their 17 fixtures last term, while hosting, also saw two goals scored or less.

Keeping their head above water

Two weeks ago, Famalicao were bottom of the pile but four points from their last two games have saw them climb to 16th.

A 2-0 win on the road at basement club Santa Clara was swiftly followed by a point at home to Vizela. However, three points away from home at the team bottom of the league is the only win for Famalicao in the league since May.

Despite four defeats in their last seven matches on the road, the visitors have scored in all but one of those fixtures and have the ability to eke out a point.
