      Burnley vs Sheffield Wednesday Predictions

The Lancashire outfit were a force to reckoned with at home the last time they were at this level and now that they have finally splashed some cash on a replacement for Danny Ings, in the form of Andre Gray there is no reason to think they can’t do likewise again. Most of that side is still together and the manager is the same so they ought to be in the hunt for a top six finish at least come May.

If they are to achieve that, then these are the sort of games they need to be winning. Burnley won their last two league games before the international break to move into the top half and could be really well placed with two winnable home games now in the space of four days.

It might not be a bad time to play Sheffield Wednesday either. They got off to a flying start under new boss Carlos Carvalhal but haven’t won in the league since the opening day and were well beaten at home by Middlesbrough last time out.

Confidence is high at Turf Moor after a shaky start and they look very much worth backing to win this at 19/20 against a Wednesday side that are again likely to be mid-table at best.

One positive for Sheffield Wednesday is that they have looked more dangerous going forward and are certainly more entertaining to watch. Last year only sides in the bottom five, scored fewer goals than them but they have netted in all seven competitive games they’ve played this season, which is a clear sign of progress.

You could see them scoring here against a Burnley side who’ve kept just 1 clean sheet, however the Lancashire outfit are just finding their stride at the other end and could edge it 2-1 and you can back that to be the case at 8/1.
