Burnley and Both Teams To Score - No

Reason for tip

Burnley are unbeaten at home this season, winning three out of six games, and have conceded just two goals at Turf Moor thanks to three successive clean sheets. Swansea have failed to score in two of their last four away matches, while four of their seven fixtures on the road in the Championship have ended in defeat.

Burnley 1-0

Reason for tip

Burnley have kept three successive home clean sheets, including a recent 1-0 win over Plymouth. Swansea meanwhile have failed to score in three of their last four on the road, losing 1-0 to Sheffield United and Blackburn.

Burnley vs Swansea City Predictions

  • Burnley remain unbeaten at Turf Moor across six league outings
  • Swansea have lost four times in seven attempts on the road in the Championship
  • The Clarets have the division’s joint-second best home defence, conceding only two goals

Burnley set to end poor run?

Burnley have not had things all their own way over the last few weeks, with a pair of 0-0 draws against QPR and West Brom coming either side of a 1-0 loss to Millwall.

However, Scott Parker’s side have been in good form at Turf Moor, where half a dozen Championship fixtures have yielded three wins and draws.

In fact, the Clarets have lost one only of their last 42 home fixtures in the second tier, a run that ridiculously stretches back to 2016!

They should therefore be confident of bouncing back in this game, especially as they have conceded only a couple of home goals this season, the joint-second best record in the division.

Swansea’s away struggles

That is not good news for visitors Swansea, who have played seven matches on the road in the league this season, losing four of them.

The South Wales side have found a bit of form of late, winning back-to-back games against Oxford and Watford to move up to ninth ahead of this round.

But only one of those games, against the U’s, was on their travels, where they have failed to score in three successive matches, including a pair of 1-0 defeats.

I predict that Burnley will win this game to nil, selecting 1-0 as a correct score prediction.
