Hacken can snap their winless run

Sixth taken on seventh in the Allsvenskan on Sunday and it should be Hacken who are celebrating despite the fact they have taken just one point from their last four games in the Swedish league.

A visit from AIK Solna gives them a good opportunity, particularly if they can muster the same level of performance they put in against leaders Malmo in their last home game, when they fought back from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw.

They proved themselves to be strong on their own patch last season when they won 13 consecutive home outings and while they have not maintained that form this term, they could have too much for AIK, who tend to have issues on the road.

AIK’s away defending is a concern

The visitors’ results have been all over the place and any confidence that has been taken from a 6-2 success over Norrkoping and a 5-2 victory against IFK Gothenburg has to be tempered by how their away games have been going.

It is 11 games since they posted a win on their travels and recent losses at Malmo and Elfsborg by 5-0 and 6-1 scorelines tell their own story.

That defeat to the leaders has been the only occasion in their last six away games that they have failed to score though, so they could find the net at Hacken.

Don’t expect much more though, and with AIK’s last six league games featuring 34 goals, a 3-1 home win may be of interest to correct-score enthusiasts.
