Burton vs Oldham Betting Tips & Predictions

Burton are on the up. The League Two champions have been incredibly impressive throughout this season and find themselves at the top of League One in their debut season, and the neutrals who follow this league are all hoping the meteoric rise of the club continues.

They have a six point lead over 2nd placed Wigan at the moment, and with just nine games left to play they will feel confident of holding off all the chasing teams and winning a second consecutive promotion.

Burton come into this match having won back to back matches in the league, taking their record to three wins, a draw, and a defeat in their last five matches. On home turf they have won five of their last seven outings and have only lost one in their last ten.

Oldham Athletic, on the other hand, find themselves in danger of sinking into League Two next season. They occupy 22nd position in League One and are a point adrift of the safety of 20th position, which Blackpool occupy.

They have improved over the past couple of months though, with an unbeaten streak of seven matches putting them back into contention for avoiding relegation. However, that unbeaten streak ended a few weeks ago, and they have now lost two of their last three outings.

Oldham lost 3-0 to Sheffield United in their last away day, and I think Burton have it in their locker to get the better of them too. Odds of 8/11 for the League One leaders to win on Saturday look excellent value for money, and I’m backing a 2-1 correct score prediction at 15/2 as well.
