Cadiz vs Real Betis Predictions
- Cadiz have picked up just two points from their five home league games this season, scoring two goals and conceding 11 on their own turf.
- Real Betis have won six of their last nine games, only losing on a trip to Celta Vigo.
- Cadiz have posted one win from their first nine games in LaLiga this term, failing to score on six occasions.
Are Verdiblancos underpriced?
Real Betis narrowly missed out on Champions League qualification last season, atoning by sealing a famous Copa del Rey victory, and Manuel Pellegrini’s men look set for another campaign competing at the top end after winning six of their last nine matches, putting them fourth in LaLiga. Wednesday’s opponents Cadiz, meanwhile, are struggling for both goals and points, and the Heliopolitanos are available to back at a decent price on their next road trip.
Betis have only lost on tough away trips to Celta Vigo and Real Madrid this season, and their strong recent run has included victories over Villarreal and Roma. Only Villarreal and Barcelona can better their tally of just six goals conceded in the Spanish top flight this season, while only six teams have outscored Pellegrini’s men this term. Although Betis’ record of just one clean sheet in seven matches is disappointing, they should face few troubles against one of LaLiga’s most out-of-form sides.
Indeed, although they have drawn their last three matches in a row, Cadiz have won just one game this campaign (against fellow strugglers Real Valladolid) and have the worst attack in LaLiga; no team can match their dire return of just four goals this season, only two of which have come at home. Sergio’s men have also shipped over two goals per game, on average, at home this season, picking up just two points from five games on their own turf.
Betis worth backing
Given Cadiz’s poor home form and dreadful offensive returns, backing Betis to make it seven wins in 10 games appears a no-brainer, and a 2-0 away victory could represent a decent correct score prediction.
Meanwhile, only Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski (9) has bettered Borja Iglesias’ return of seven goals in LaLiga this season, and he ended a four-match drought against Almeria on Sunday. The striker is an excellent anytime goalscorer play, particularly after netting three penalties this season.
