Carpi vs Napoli Betting Tips

Life in Serie A is tough and that’s exactly what Carpi has found. After an opening weekend thrashing at the hands of Sampdoria and then losing their first home game to Inter Milan, Carpi has played a little better in its last two games earning a 2-2 draw with Palermo and losing 1-0 at home against Fiorentina in a pretty good effort.

They’ll need to build off of those two performances as they play at home in a second straight game. It’ll be a task of trying to tie Napoli down on Wednesday night.

It’s not easy apparently. Napoli hammered Club Brugge 5-0 in Europa League action last week before destroying Lazio in impressive fashion by the same score-line at the weekend. Amazingly, the win over Lazio was Napoli’s first in the Serie A season after a pair of draws and a defeat.

Has Maurizio Sarri and his team figured things out? We’re not overly enthusiastic about taking on the role of passing judgement on that, but on paper they are a top four side in Serie A and it’s hard to ignore how dominant they were against a team we’ve previously rated very highly in Lazio.

Three Reasons for Betting Tips

1. Backing Napoli

We’ll back Napoli to find a way to win this game after a spell of impressive form. We just think that they’ve figured out a few things and found some rhythm in their attacking football.

2. No third blowout

The Asian Handicap line is tempting in this game, but we’re skeptical about another blowout win for a Napoli who has played quite a bit of football over the last couple of weeks.

3. Close but no cigar for Carpi

We’ll give Carpi credit for playing football, but this isn’t the week for a first Serie A win this season.
