Charlton vs Ipswich Predictions
The Addicks had taken just 2 points from a nightmare 11 game spell that had seem them plummet down the table but with new manager Karel Fraeye at the helm they appear to have turned a corner. They’ve won their last two matches against two sides in the top half. A 3-1 home win against Sheffield Wednesday and a 1-0 win at Birmingham last time out have provided a tremendous lift for the club going into this game.
Ipswich too have found some form though and this won’t be easy for the hosts by any means. The Suffolk club are unbeaten in their last 5 matches and have won 2 of their last 3 to move back into the top half of the table.
3 of those 5 games did end all square though and they have only won 3 of their last 14 in the league. Therefore Ipswich look a little short at 11/10 to win this game and at the Valley a much-improved Charlton side should be able to at the very least avoid defeat and you can back them to do that at 3/4.
It should be quite a lively game with both teams having recently discovered their swagger. Ipswich have scored 9 times in their last 3 matches and netted 5 times in their last away match at Rotherham. Charlton netted 3 times in their last home match and both sides rank in the bottom 6 in terms of their defensive records so goals seem likely.
A draw might be the most likely outcome though and it wouldn’t be an awful result for either side and would extend their unbeaten runs. With goals likely consider backing a 2-2 draw at 14/1.
