      Dalkurd vs Sirius Predictions

This is a really big game at the bottom end of the Swedish top flight and is a genuine relegation six-pointer. Dalkurd are currently propping up the table but only courtesy of Sirius winning last weekend to finally climb off the foot and move into a relegation play-off place.

They had looked absolutely doomed to the drop but have suddenly found a couple of vital results. They’d just 5 points from their opening 13 league games but come into this one following back-to-back wins over fellow strugglers Brommapojkarna and Goteborg which have seen them more than double their points tally and move off bottom spot. They came from 2-0 down to defeat Goteborg last week so will certainly head into this game with renewed belief.

While Dalkurd have slipped to bottom, they will also find reason to be positive from some of their recent displays and particularly their ability to find the net. They’ve played two home games since the summer break and have netted 5 goals. A comfortable 3-0 win over Brommapojkarna was followed by a 2-2 draw with Trelleborg and they will fancy they have the tools to really get at this Sirius defence.

Dalkurd’s average of 2 goals per home game is exceptionally good when you consider where they are in the league. They’ve only failed to score in 1 of their last 10 Allsvenskan matches overall and have a few dangerous attacking players. Their most prolific has been Mohamed Buya Turay. He averages a goal every 120 minutes in the Swedish top flight this term and has 3 in 3 since the summer break. Backing Buya Turay to score anytime could therefore be worth a flutter here.

Up against the division’s worst defence, there should certainly be chances for the likes of him. Sirius have let in 2.27 goals per game this term and have conceded 4 more goals than any other team in the Swedish Allsvenskan, so they could struggle at the back again here.

Therefore backing Dalkurd to score over 1.5 Team Goals appeals.
