De Graafschap vs Feyenoord Predictions
Rock bottom of the table. One point from seven games and 18 goals conceded. Not a whole for De Graafschap to take comfort from in terms of their Dutch Eredivisie campaign in 2015-16. They look out of their depth and mostly like cannon fodder on a week-by-week basis. Still, they can take comfort from their last game, where they battled hard and earned a 2-2 home draw against established Dutch Eredivisie side Willem II. It was a solid display and hinted at their potential to show more than they have done so far this season.
Sunday might not be the time to continue building that confidence though as they come up against Feyenoord. The third place side are coming off a confident 2-0 win over PEC Zwolle and during a weekend where all eyes will be on Ajax vs PSV, there’s a chance for Feyenoord to move up the table. An Ajax defeat and a Feyenoord win could see the latter finish the weekend top of the Dutch Eredivisie table.
Three Reasons for Betting Tips
1. It’s obvious…
Feyenoord are one of the Dutch League’s elite teams and De Graafschap haven’t looked like a team that belongs for much of the first section of the season. It may change, but impossible not to predict a big Feyenoord win here.
2. Form book
They must have considered moving this to a -2.0 or even -2.5, because Feyneoord’s recent form suggests that winning games by two goals or more isn’t that difficult. They’ve beaten a decent side in Zwolle in consecutive games by that margin and we back them to cover the Asian Handicap again here.
3. Ajax and PSV
It just feels like the atmosphere around Dutch football should suit a confident, comfortable and quietly controlling performance from Feyenoord here, they’re gifted a chance to fly “under the radar”.
