Struggling Degerfors should be opposed

Norrkoping should be backed to defeat out-of-form Degerfors away from home on Saturday. The hosts have gone nine games without a win at Stora Valla in the Allsvenskan, failing to win in seven of their last ten.

They are three places above Degerfors in the table, but both teams have lost more games than they’ve won this season. Norrkoping sit 11th with five wins and eight defeats, while Degerfors are 14th with four wins and 11 losses.

Degerfors could not break their losing habit last time, going down 3-0 to GAIS last weekend. They were trailing 1-0 at half-time, making it five games in a row that they have been behind at the break.

Norrkoping have had the upper hand defensively in recent meetings with Degerfors, keeping clean sheets in three of the last four Allsvenskan encounters between the teams.

They will be optimistic of finding the net, having scored three or more goals in five of their 16 games this season. They have averaged 2.60 goals a game in their five Allsvenskan matches against teams in the bottom four.

Degerfors have lost nine of their last 11 home games in the Allsvenskan, including their last five.

The 2-1 away win for Norrkoping looks a decent correct-score bet. Ten of Degerfors’ last 12 Allsvenskan games have featured three goals or more, so there should be no shortage of chances in this game.
