Djurgarden should be backed to get a home win over Degerfors in the Allsvenskan on Sunday.

They are five places above Degerfors in the table, but both teams have lost more games than they’ve won this season. Djurgardens, in eighth, have won four and lost five of their nine games, while Degerfors are 13th with four wins and eight defeats.

Degerfors could not break their losing run last time out, going down 3-0 away to IF Brommapojkarna, who ended a six-game losing streak with the victory. This was the fourth consecutive game in which Degerfors conceded the opening goal, and they have now lost all seven games this season in which they’ve shipped first. They had more possession – 72.4% – than in any Allsvenskan game this season.

Degerfors are without a win in four Allsvenskan games and have lost seven of their last eight matches.

They have looked vulnerable at the back, failing to keep a clean sheet in 17 of their last 20 Allsvenskan games. They have conceded 11 goals away from home this season, an average of 1.83 goals per game from six games.

Djurgarden may be able to edge out Degerfors in a closely-fought game, with a 2-1 home win the correct-score pick. Both teams had scored by the break when these two last met in the Allsvenskan in August 2023, and Djurgarden have won four of their games this season by the odd goal.
