Goals in short supply at Doncaster

Goals could be at a premium when Doncaster host Wycombe in League One on Saturday, and under 2.5 goals looks the best bet.

Doncaster were promoted as League Two winners last season while Wycombe finished fifth in League One, before losing out to Charlton in the playoff semi-finals.

Donny have immediately taken to life at a higher level, posting a 1-0 home win over Exeter and a 2-1 road victory at Mansfield in their first two outings.

Wycombe, meanwhile, have made a slow start with defeats against Bradford and Stockport, although they were perhaps unfortunate to lose last time out having won the shot-on-target count 6-3.

A 1-0 away win for Wycombe looks a decent correct-score bet.

In four of the last six League One meetings between these sides at least one team failed to score, and 15 of Wycombe’s 24 wins last season were by the odd goal.
