      Dundee vs Celtic Predictions

Dundee’s failure to find any sort of winning form this season has seen them struggle to pick up points all season.

They have only managed five wins from their 20 Scottish Premiership games this season, and it’s only thanks to their league high eight draws that they are in a respectable 7th position in the table.

Only one of Dundee’s last ten Scottish Premiership games has ended in victory, and that came against the out of form Hamilton Academical.

They were looking difficult to beat, until recently that is. They based their play on a fairly solid defensive unit but in recent weeks that has slipped, and they come into this match against the Scottish Premiership leaders having lost three of their last four and conceded ten goals.

But Celtic aren’t in the greatest of form at the moment either. They drew 2-2 against 3rd placed Hearts on Sunday, which saw them fail to take the opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the table.

This was the 3rd time they have failed to win in their last five matches in all competitions, a spell which saw their dismal season in Europa come to an end as they finished bottom of their Europa League group.

Despite their shocking continental performance Celtic are in decent form domestically, especially away from home. They haven’t been beaten on the road since September and have won five of their six league away days since that defeat to Aberdeen.

Add this to the fact that Dundee haven’t beaten Celtic since 2001, with 21 of their 24 games since then ending in a Celtic win, and it really isn’t looking good for the hosts on Wednesday.

With Dundee’s recent defensive decline and the past history between these sides, it’s looking like a comfortable Celtic victory. Each of Dundee’s last three defeats have been by two or more goals and three of the last four meetings with Celtic have seen them comfortably beaten.

This makes odds of 2.050 for a Celtic -1.5 Asian Handicap Win look really good value for money. I’m going to go for a 3-0 correct score prediction at 8/1 as well.
