The League Cup campaign has been a big disappointment as they would not have envisaged going into their final group game without a chance of gaining one of the coveted top-two places to ensure progression.

The Dark Blues bounced back with a 3-1 win over non-league Bonnyrigg Rose last time out, but their time in the tournament has been ended by defeats to Alloa and Airdrieonians.

With Montrose in a similar position, this game has effectively become a pre-season friendly and with both managers likely to experiment, it makes it difficult to assess from a betting perspective.

It may be that the shackles come off but it is difficult to put a lot of faith in Dundee as they have twice failed to beat lower-league opposition in this season’s competition.

We could see plenty of action, so it is worth chancing that the game will end in a draw and contain more than one goal and a punt is taken on the final group game finishing 2-2.
