FK Qarabag vs Linfield Predictions
Qarabag may have been the better of the two teams in last week’s 1st leg but it’s Linfield that hold a 3-2 lead heading into Thursday’s decider. Both teams head into the tie in good form and scoring plenty of goals so we’re expecting another exciting ninety minutes between the pair this week.
All of the stats suggest that we will see both teams score on Thursday and make Qarabag the best bet to win the game and progress through to the next round of the Europa League.
Both teams scored in the 1st leg which ended 3-2 to Linfield, but despite losing against, Qarabag had more shots, more corners, and more of the overall possession during the ninety minutes and will have been disappointed not to have won themselves. Linfield aren’t going to see as much of the ball as they did at home, which will limit their goal-scoring opportunities and mean they need to be at their best defensively to stand any chance of progressing.
Qarabag have scored in five of their last six matches and both teams scored in each of Linfield’s last five matches, so we’re expecting goals at both ends of the pitch on Thursday night. Over 2.5 goals have been scored in four of Qarabag’s last six and each of Linfield’s last five matches, which means we’re unlikely to see just one goal at each end of the pitch in the 2nd leg.
Qarabag have won four of their last six matches and have only lost one home game in all competitions this season, and this is the main reason why we believe the hosts will overcome their 3-2 deficit to beat Linfield on Thursday and progress through to the next round of this competition.
We’re confident that both teams will score on Thursday and have predicted a final scoreline of 4-1 in favour of Qarabag. Linfield might have won the 1st leg but they were dominated in their own backyard by Qarabag and we believe the difference in quality between the two clubs will become far more apparent in the 2nd leg. The hosts are so strong at home that they have only lost one game in all competitions in their own backyard this season.
