Both Teams To Score - No

      Reason for tip

Both teams finding the net seems unlikely when GAIS host Halmstads. At least one side has failed to score in five of Halmstads’ last seven away games, and they average just 0.88 goals per game. GAIS are in form, while Halmstads have lost their last three on the road.

      GAIS 1-0

      Reason for tip

A 1-0 home win for GAIS is the best correct score option. GAIS are aiming for a third consecutive win, while Halmstads have lost six of their last eight away games. The visitors continue to struggle in front of goal despite creating chances, including in last week’s goalless draw with Hacken.

      Gais vs Halmstad Predictions

Blunt visitors are unlikely to score

Saturday’s Allsvenskan clash between GAIS and Halmstads at Gamla Ullevi is unlikely to see both teams find the net.

GAIS are sixth in the league, six places above Halmstads, with seven wins, seven draws and two losses. Halmstads have five wins, two draws and nine defeats from their 16 games this season.

GAIS are in form, aiming for a third straight Allsvenskan success, having beaten Hammarby 3-2 two weeks ago in their last home game. Halmstads, in contrast, have lost their last three away games.

Halmstads drew 0-0 with Hacken last weekend and, having had only 32.4% possession, they didn’t see much of the ball. However, they created goalscoring chances and hit the woodwork, continuing a recent trend of matches in which at least one of the teams failed to score.

At least one of the teams has failed to find the net in five of Halmstads’ last seven Allsvenskan away games.

Halmstads have been disappointing in front of goal this season, scoring only 14 goals in 16 Allsvenskan games – an average of 0.88 goals per game.

A 1-0 victory for GAIS looks the most likely outcome. Halmstads have lost six of their last eight away games in the Allsvenskan and, while they created chances in a recent goalless draw with Hacken, they are struggling to score.
