Galatasaray up against it

It was a big shock when Galatasaray left the Camp Nou with a draw last week following a 0-0 draw, and it is questionable as to whether lightning can strike twice.

The Turkish outfit are unbeaten in their last three on home soil, but have only won two of their last eight at Nef Stadyumu, a run that includes four defeats.

They are not the force of old, sitting in 11th place in the Super Lig, while they have only beaten Barca once, way back in 1994.

The stalemate between these two sides last week was the first time Barcelona had failed to score since their 3-0 defeat to Bayern Munich in December, and they responded by hammering Osasuna 4-0 on Sunday.

Xavi’s side have won five of their last six, scoring four goals in four of those games, including a 4-0 battering of Athletic Bilbao and 4-2 win in Italy against Napoli.

They are unbeaten on the road in 11, winning the last three, and should be able to progress to the last eight.

I predict Barcelona will win the match, but there could well be goals, so I select 3-1 as a correct score prediction.
