Gillingham’s superiority is reflected in the league table and they look the best bet to secure a home victory over Harrogate on Saturday.

Gillingham are top of the league, having won six of their nine games so far, while Harrogate are 16th in the table with three wins, two draws and four defeats.

Gillingham’s 3-1 win over Newport last weekend kept up their recent winning trend. They were priced as 21/20 favourites to win the game and triumphed with something to spare.

The visitors have been disappointing in front of goal away from home this season, scoring just three times in four League Two games – an average of 0.75 goals a game on the road.

Gillingham have been impressive defensively at home this season, conceding just one goal in four League Two games – an average of 0.25 goals per game. They have kept clean sheets in five of their last seven on their own patch.

The visitors are on a poor run of results, with four of Harrogate’s last five League Two matches ending in defeat. They have failed to win any of their last three away games and come into this match having lost the last two on the road.

Gillingham have momentum at the moment, remaining unbeaten after nine League Two games this season.

They are in form at home, having gone unbeaten in their last 11 League Two games on their own patch. They have won six of their last seven and are currently on a run of four consecutive victories.

A 1-0 win for Gillingham looks like a decent correct-score option. There have been under 2.5 goals in five of Harrogate’s last seven League Two games and Gillingham have won their last two home games 1-0.
