Gillingham vs Millwall Predictions
Gillingham’s fall from grace has been quite spectacular over the last few weeks. Justin Edinburgh has seen his side slip from a commanding position where they were battling for an automatic promotion spot to a position where they look unlikely to get a position in the playoffs. The Gills now find themselves two positions outside of the playoff places and two points behind both Barnsley and Scunthorpe. With Barnsley playing away to champions Wigan and Scunthorpe involved in a Yorkshire derby against Sheffield United it means Gillingham are definitely still in the running for that final playoff spot. If results go their way and Gillingham manage to grab the win, they will have one thing in their favour, the Gills have a superior goal difference to both their rivals.
Millwall are one of the form teams of 2016 and their form has seen them secure a playoff place for the chance to play in the Championship next season. With one of the strongest attacks in the division Neil Harris can be confident against almost any team although the loss of 17 goal striker Lee Gregory will be a big loss for the Lions. Harris will also be wanting to secure any advantage he can ahead of the end of season shootout and with a third place position still up for grabs he will be instructing his team to go all out for the victory.
The loss of leading scorer Harris will likely hit Millwall hard and although there is plenty of goals in the rest of the team it remains to be seen how they will cope with the loss of the focal point of their attack. Both these sides have plenty to play for and both are among the leading scorers in the division. Goals seem guaranteed in this game so I think the smart money is for there to be over 2.5 goals which you can get at 7/10 with Betfair.
