Granada vs Real Betis Predictions
Real Betis have made a pretty strong start to the season on their return to the top flight after just 1 year away and last season’s Segunda Division Champions are in mid-table coming into this one. They were beaten last time out though in disappointing circumstances going down 3-1 at home to Espanyol for a 2nd consecutive home defeat.
On the road though they have won both their last two matches at Sporting Gijon and Rayo Vallecano, scoring twice in both games and they do seem to enjoy life on the road. They have only lost 2 of their last 19 away league matches and although most of those games were in the Segunda Division, they’ve carried that form over into La Liga.
Granada are bottom of the table which is no great surprise given they only narrowly beat the drop last year. They have been a bit better in their last two matches though having lost 5 of their opening 6. 3 points seemed a certainty last weekend with them 3-1 up at Sporting Gijon with only 2 minutes to go but somehow they managed concede 2 late goals and ended up with just a point and only 9 men on the pitch.
At least they can take heart from how much more threatening they looked in the final third and against a Real Betis side who will come here believing they can win the game we should see goals and it is worth backing both teams to score at 5/6.
A few weeks ago you might have fancied Betis to secure all the points in this one but Granada seem to be over their major early season problems and are back to the ways of last season when they couldn’t stop drawing. Over half of their La Liga home games ended level last term and this could well be another one so consider backing it to finish 1-1 at 5/1.
