Gremio grumbles growing louder

Five defeats in a row, most recently a 1-0 reversal at Fortaleza in midweek, have left Gremio in the Serie A relegation zone and with just six points from eight outings this season.

Eduardo Coudet’s side boosted their position in the table by beating Corinthians 1-0 in midweek, a fourth victory from their last six outings across all competitions.

They have been particularly good away from home, beating Cuiaba in the league, as well as cup victories at Delfin and Real Tomayapo in recent weeks, to make it three successes from four on the road.
