Worrying times for Dortmund

After suffering a 2-0 defeat to surprise Bundesliga leaders Union Berlin over the weekend, Borussia Dortmund take to the road to face off with second-tier promotion hopefuls Hannover in this DFB Pokal clash.

Hopes are high that Edin Terzic’s Dortmund can bounce back as they haven’t been eliminated at the hands of lower-tier opponents in 12 years, yet their short price for the win simply doesn’t represent value after a run of just two wins from their last eight games.

On the other hand, Hannover have been in fine scoring form, hitting at least a goal in each of their last 16 competitive games. That run spans all the way back to April and whilst all of those encounters were against much lesser opposition than they’ll face here, they should have enough to trouble this floundering Dortmund outfit.

Go for goals at both ends

We predict that the smart way to play this game is with a BTTS selection, Dortmund are rightful favourites due to their star studded squad and stature, yet their current form simply doesn’t justify backing them at 2/5.
