Visitors Derby County continue to show their ‘never say die’ attitude both as a football club and as a city. Thousands took to protest outside of Pride Park recently as the off-field woes threaten their 138-year existence as well as their rich history. Wayne Rooney embodied what’s required to survive recently by turning down the managerial role at his boyhood club Everton in order to commit to Derby and continue trying to steer them to safety. Their fighting spirit continues to reward them as last time out they were 2-0 down but managed to score two late goals and salvage a draw against Birmingham City.
