Hull vs Ipswich Predictions
Ipswich are in the midst of a worrying slump, which has seen them win just 1 of their last 8 matches and none of their last 5. They are still in 10th place but aren’t the most convincing side defensively and even their offensive play has let them down in recent matches as they’ve failed to score in 3 of their last 4 games.
The most recent was a 0-0 home draw against Huddersfield and a trip to Hull, who are unbeaten at home and have an excellent defensive record isn’t really the sort of fixture that is likely to bring their poor form to an end.
Hull have been steady but not spectacular on their return to the Championship but they more than anyone know what it takes to get out of this league having achieved promotion twice in recent years. Consistency is the key and the Tigers have been consistent so far and their aren’t many sides in this league that can make that claim.
Their last six fixtures have resulted in three wins and three draws and they’ve won 5 of their 7 games at home this season, conceding just 3 goals. Nothing about Ipswich right now suggests they should cause Hull too much trouble here and at Evens surely it is worth backing this to end with 3 points for the hosts.
It is hard to see there being many goals in this game though. None of the last 9 games involving Hull have had more than 2 goals in them. That could well be the case here and you have to fancy them to keep a clean sheet against a misfiring Ipswich side.
Therefore consider backing the hosts to pick up a comfortable 2-0 win at 17/2.
