Inter Milan vs Verona Predictions

Five of the last six Serie A meetings between Inter and Verona have finished with over 2.5 goals and Sunday’s clash at San Siro is unlikely to be any different. Back over 2.5 goals in Cristian Chivu’s Inter side take on Paolo Sammarco’s Verona team.

Inter have been crowned champions in Serie A, having won 27 of their 36 games this season, while Verona, 19th in the table with just three wins so far, have been relegated.

Inter have won their last three home games in Serie A and have enjoyed success in nine of their last 11 on home soil. In contrast, Verona are without a win in eight league games, a run which shows no wins, two draws and six defeats.

Inter beat Lazio 3-0 last weekend to keep up their recent pattern of games with over 2.5 goals. Lautaro Martinez opened the scoring in the sixth minute, with Petar Sucic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan also notching. Inter were 4/5 to win the game and comfortably obliged for favourite backers, making it 23 wins in the 29 matches in which they have been odds-on this season.

Plenty of the hosts’ recent games have gone over the goals, with over 2.5 goals being a winning bet in 12 of Inter’s 18 Serie A home games this season. Five of the last six have produced three goals or more.

The Verona back line has been unconvincing of late, with the visitors failing to keep a clean sheet in 17 of their last 20 Serie A games. They are on a run of seven away days without recording a shutout, and only two other teams in the division have conceded more than their 58 goals this season.

A 3-1 home win for Inter is an appealing correct-score bet. There have been four goals or more in 13 of their 36 Serie A matches this season, and they have won four of their last six league games by at least two goals.
