      Ipswich vs Sheffield Wednesday Predictions

The hosts have scored at least once in all of their last 15 matches in a run stretching back to the 1st of March and have made a positive start to this season after the disappointment of a play-off loss to East Anglian rivals Norwich in May.

They were 2-0 up at Brentford on the opening day and looked to be well on their way to an excellent win but conceded twice in stoppage time to return home with just a point. They beat Stevenage 2-1 at Portman Road in midweek to progress in the Capital One Cup and will be confident of a winning start at home in the league too but in Sheffield Wednesday they will be facing a confident and currently free-scoring side.

Wednesday have scored 6 times in their opening two matches this season and also bagged 5 in their final pre-season game against Scottish side St. Mirren. Like Ipswich it is a long time since they failed to score and they have managed at least one in each of their last 13 matches.

Therefore odds of 6/5 for there to be three or more goals in this game look very tempting indeed. Ipswich will be under more pressure at home and in a game they would have been hopeful of winning when the fixtures were announced.

However Wednesday have no reason not to come here with the same positive approach that has served them well in their opening fixtures. They lost 2-1 win at Portman Road in February but look like an improved side this term.

The bookies seem to be ignoring the stats to some extent when pricing this goals market so there is surely some value to be found in backing there to be three or more goals in this one.

If you fancy a flutter with big potential returns then consider putting a few quid on the game to finish 2-2 at tasty odds of 16/1.
