Over 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Italy have to build up some form for the Euros and they meet a Bosnian side who have conceded 16 goals in a five-game losing streak. Each of those matches have seen over 2.5 goals and this Bosnian side shipped 20 goals in 10 qualifiers in 2023, so back them to be taken apart by an Italy side who need a result.

Italy vs Bosnia And Herzegovina Predictions

  • Bosnia have lost each of their last five games, with all five seeing over 2.5 goals scored
  • The visitors have conceded 16 times in those five defeats
  • The away side let in 20 goals in 10 qualifiers in 2023
  • Italy won both of their March friendlies and they can build some confidence with a big win

Italy chase warm-up win

Italy drew 0-0 with Turkey earlier this week and Luciano Spalletti will be aiming to get them up and running ahead of Euro 2024. The former Napoli boss is in a tricky spot as he heads into a tournament having been in charge for less than a year with a big rebuilding job to do.

Spalletti’s Napoli won Serie A with a swagger and he’ll be hoping to take that style to the national set up, although a lack of goals is a concern going into the Euros. Their goalless draw earlier this week was a concern, but the floodgates could open for Italy in Empoli this weekend.

Italy meet a Bosnian side which is coming off the back of five straight defeats. The visitors have seen over 2.5 goals land in each of those games, conceding 16 times. They lost 3-0 to a weakened England side earlier this week and they shipped 20 goals across their 10 games in qualifying last year.

Italy won two from two in their short US tour in March and they should have little trouble taking this Bosnian side apart. Bigger tests await the European champions, but this is a chance for them to rack up some goals and build some confidence.
