Supperettan’s in-form side could slip up 

GIF Sunsdvall are the most in-form side in the Superettan right now and will take some beating by a Jönköpings Södra team that have been stuck in a rut recently.

The visitors arrive on the back of their best win of the season – a 2-1 away win over Helsingborg that enabled them to leapfrog their opponents into the second automatic promotion place. It may have taken a stoppage-time winner to secure, but the victory will boost confidence and maintain the momentum of Giffarna’s promotion push.

J-Södra finished third last season, when they didn’t lose a single game at home, but two defeats in their last five at Stadsparksvallen have seen them slip to eighth in the standings. Andreas Brännström’s men have been unable to score in their last two home games, but were extremely reliable at finding the back of the net prior to that.

Both teams to score looks likely

A 3-1 friendly win over top-flight AIK a week ago suggests they can still get a goal – particularly as Giffarna are not the tightest team on the defensive side, having conceded in each of their last seven away league games.

Both teams have scored in GIF Sundsvall’s eight most recent away clashes with Jönköpings Södra in the Superettan, so that looks a touch safer than backing the visitors for a sixth consecutive away win.

That said, a 2-1 away win appeals a little more than a 1-1 correct score bet because that has been the outcome in the last three Giffarna away games.
