Juventus vs PSV Predictions
- Juventus have lost only one of their last 24 home games
- Juventus have kept four straight clean sheets
- PSV have won only two of their last nine Champions League away games
Home advantage may be vital
PSV have started the Eredivisie season in rampant form, scoring 20 goals in winning all five matches, but they face a hike in grade for their Champions League opener with Juventus.
The Serie A side may not be the force of old but recent signs have been encouraging under new manager Thiago Motta, who has seen them pick up eight points from their opening four league games.
The Old Lady are yet to concede a goal, having recorded 3-0 wins over Como and Verona prior to goalless draws with Roma and Empoli, and that defensive discipline ought to serve
them well at the Allianz Stadium.
Old Lady can stand firm
PSV had a decent Champions League campaign last season as they qualified for the last 16.
However, the Dutch side failed to win away at Lens in the group stages while they were also beaten 4-0 at Arsenal before suffering a 2-0 defeat at Borussia Dortmund in the away leg of their round 16 tie.
So this looks like a tough trip to Italy against a Juventus side that have lost only one of their last 24 home games, having kept clean sheets in seven of their last eight on their own patch.
With that in mind, Juventus can win to nil with 2-0 the approach for correct-score punters to take.
